PHOTOGRAPHY IS GREAT

Alan Fabricant’s photos have been exhibited at the Palm Beach Photo Center’s annual juried show, the Old Church Cultural Center in Demarest, NJ, where he won Best of Show, the Orange County (NY) juried show as well as various shows throughout Rockland County (NY).

Alan Fabricant, as a student at the University of Toledo, was the Assistant Sports Editor of the school newspaper the Campus Collegian as well as in emergencies serving as one of their sports photographers.

However, it was until many years later, 1998 when he started to become a serious photographer just prior to a safari trip to Africa.

Living near West Point, Alan was able to photograph Army football games from the sidelines. One of his highlights was shooting three Army-Navy games. Many of his pictures were used by the athletic department as well as published in Today’s Photographer Magazine.

Since moving to Florida in 2004 Alan has received an Honorable Mention in The Palm Beach Post’s annual Nature competition, has had two of his photos in the 2007 Annual Nature Calendar and has been published on various occasions in FloridaWeek magazine for horse jumping and polo. The Boca Raton Observer, in their article on polo used his photos. His photos have also been in the Palm Beach Post. For the past eight years he has been a regular contributor to Sidelines Magazine, where one of his photos was on the April, 2009 cover and well as many photos of horse jumping, dressage and polo are shown in each edition. His photos have appeared in the Wellington Magazine and the Town Crier newspaper. A Danish fashion magazine used his photos in an article about the world’s best and best looking polo players. For the past 2 years Alan has been a regular contributor to Poloist.net, an international polo website.

In addition to shooting football games for the University of Miami, Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University and many of the visiting teams as well as other action sports (BMX bike racing, air shows, steeplechase and rodeo). Alan has done extensive travel throughout the world, Southeast Asia, Europe, Bhutan, India, Turkey, Malta, South and Cental America, Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, and Russia are among a few of the places visited.
His photos have been exhibited at the Palm Beach Photo Center’s annual juried show for the past 15 years, the Old Church Cultural Center in Demarest, NJ, where he won Best of Show; the Orange County (NY) juried shows as well as various shows throughout Rockland County (NY). In 2015, Alan’s photo “Out of the Dust” (shown on the home page) finished in the Top 20 of 1500+ entries of Leica’s Fotografie International competition.  Earlier this year Alan had an 18 piece photo exhibit at the South Palm Beach Town Hall.
